Please watch the training videos for details on how to use this application. It is incumbent on the User to understand the effects of such functions on display and presentation of data. The Viewer provides GIS functionality available to the User to alter the display of data, such as altering color of feature symbols and toggling feature labels, loading data into the Viewer, and performing queries and other GIS functions. While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy, correctness, and timeliness of data presented in the Viewer, the County assumes no responsibility for errors or omissions, even if the County is advised of the possibility of such damage. It should be interpreted as the best available compilation, but SHOULD NEVER BE SUBSTITUTED FOR SURVEY OR DEED INFORMATION. The compilation of countywide tax parcel and related data, street centerline, and other data results in a seamless dataset derived from many sources, particularly surveys, deeds, County and city resolutions, and orthophotography.

The Viewer uses Geographic Information Systems (hereafter “GIS”) technology to provide a visual display of data for the convenience of the end user (hereafter “User”). The pueblo in time became known as the Ciudad de Los Angeles (City of the Angels), and it is from this contraction that the present name is derived.The MapWashtenaw viewer (hereafter “Viewer”) and all data presented therein is provided by Washtenaw County (hereafter “County”) to give access to data for the Washtenaw County area developed by County departments, incorporated cities within the County, and other local, state and federal entities, public and commercial. In 1781, Governor Felipe de Neve issued orders for the establishment of the pueblo on El Rio Nuestra Senora de Los Angeles. The words los angeles literally mean “the angels” and are a contraction of the original name Pueblo del Rio de Nuestra Senora la Reina de Los Angeles de Porciuncula (the Town of the River of Our Lady, Queen of the Angeles).
